Application Guide: LoRa Sensor Data to Rubix Wires

This Appication Guide is intended to teach the complete process of getting wireless LoRa (RAW) sensor data from Droplet or MicroEdge sensors into Rubix Wires for use in custom control logic/programs.

Preparation

To complete this Application Guide you will need to be familliar with the following topics.  See the articles listed below to learn about the preparation requirements:

Application Process Summary

  1. Droplet: Installation and Configuration / MicroEdge: Installation and Configuration - First we must have our LoRa sensors correctly configured.  Refer to the linked articles to ensure that your LoRa devices have been set up and installed correctly.
  2. Rubix Platform: LoRa Network Configuration - The LoRa Network (in Rubix Platform UI) must be set up correctly to receive LoRa data packets from the LoRa sensors.  Refer to the linked article to ensure that your LoRa Network has been configured correctly.
  3. Adding and Editing Wireless LoRa Droplet Sensors / Rubix Platform: Adding and Editing Wireless Microedge Sensors - Next we need to add the LoRa sensors to the Rubix Platform. Refer to the linked article to ensure that your LoRa sensors have been added to Rubix Platform Correctly.
  4. Rubix Wires: LoRa Sensor Nodes - Once we have the LoRa sensor data in Rubix Platform, we will need to access the sensor data from Rubix Wires. Refer to the linked article to learn how to add LoRa Sensor Nodes to the Rubix Wires program editor.
