Image Gallery

To utilise full-screen imagery, create images by following this guide:  Image Quality and Dimensions

Create an image gallery

Manage via web portal

  1. Create a new slide using the Image Gallery template
  2. In the slide editor > Attributes tab, select the Web Portal content source option
  3. Add your images:
    1. Bulk Upload
      1. Drag and drop multiple images in the Drag Content Here area
      2. To add a caption, click to open each image, use the available fields to add your text and click [Close]
    2. Single Upload
      1. Click the Plus button
      2. Upload your image
      3. Optional - Add a caption
      4. Click [Save]

Manage via file upload (XSLX)

  1. Create a new slide using the Image Gallery template
  2. In the slide editor > Attributes tab, select the File Upload (XSLX) content source option
  3. Download the data template
  4. Use the data template (XLSX file) to manage your images (using image:+URL) and an optional title/summary

  5. Save your XLSX file locally and upload the saved file into the slide editor
  6. When you are ready to go live, add your Image Gallery slide to 1 or more playlists

Design Tips

Item Image Coverage

Use this design setting to manage how images are displayed in this template:
  1. Fill & Cover - This option is useful for ensuring that there all images fill and cover the screen.  NB: This may result in images being cropped in order to fill the screen.
  2. Fit & Contain - This option is useful images that need to be contained within the screen area (e.g. icons, logos, etc). 
  3. Fit & Scroll - This option is useful for sharing infographics or bringing your static images to life by automatically panning/scrolling onscreen.

Layout 

  1. Panels - For a straightforward set-and-forget approach to the placement of the Title and Summary. Use the design settings to change the colours for: Font, Panel colour & Panel highlight colour.
  2. Graphic - To control the design and placement of the Title and Summary. The overall placement, pre-set margins, text alignment and animation direction, will give you many possible combinations to suit your branding.
  1. Position = Top-left / Top-Centre / Top-right / Bottom-left / Bottom-centre / Bottom-right
  2. Animate = From top / From bottom / From left / From right
  3. Text align = Left / Centre / Right / Top / Middle / Bottom
  4. Margins = Narrow (25 pixels) / Moderate (50 pixels) / Wide (75 Pixels) / Extreme (100 Pixels)
Ideas for the Graphic
Create a graphic that compliments your brand. 
Use a transparent PNG as the graphic.
You have more visual possibilities (you might need to work with your graphic designer to create the correct file)
  • Plain coloured or gradient-filled polygon shapes
  • Icons such as: flag, swish, circle, star
  • Chat or speaking bubbles
  • Brand logo
